Can anyone tell me how the cards are dealt on a poker machine? Are they dealt randomly one by one from the deck of card?

For all IGT machines on the Game King Platform (includes all IGT video
poker machines manufactured in this century)
5 cards are dealt initially, one by one by an RNG selecting numbers between
1 and 52 (or more for Jokers). The draw cards are selected when the draw
button is pressed. Unlike misinformation widely published it does not
choose a single number representing a 5 (or 10) card hand.
The RNG in machines by other manufacturers certainly selects cards one by
one. It is extremely likely that they all select only 5 cards initially but
not certain.
