Video Poker in the Midwest

Hi all,

I'm from the Midwest (north central Illinois) and, while I know it
ain't Vegas and never will be, am willing to try and provide some
information on VP opportunities at places like Hollywood (Aurora),
Grand Victoria (Elgin), the Isle properties in Iowa and Ho-Chunk in
Wisconsin Dells. We rarely have net positive long-term expectations
here but 99% is getting more achievable. I as yet don't have the
bankroll to "get serious" but am saving towards that goal and playing
conservatively at quarters & nickels until that day.

    I set up a blog on <a href:"http://midwestvp.blogspot.com">
Blogger where I'll report on what I find. If you'd be willing to give
me a read, a comment or a crosslink, I'd be appreciative. Much of my
focus will be on maximizing survival where long-term positive
expectations are not available, and what to expect with small stakes.
It sure must be great to live in VP heaven (Vegas), but most of us in
the Midwest must be content with only visiting there once every year
or two.

Sounds like you might not be too far from Magestic Star in IN (gary?)
they have great Bounce Back coupons and darn good games. Check
VPfree_Chicago (I believe) and/or the midwest casino database from the
main page here at VPfree. Definetly play within your budget, things
can go worse then expected (and usually do at some point) and it is a
big jump from 0.25 to $1 games.

Your Blog is very interesting. Most of the casinos that you
visit have vpFREE DataBase pages, and any updates that
you bring to our attention will be appreciated - especially
machine inventory changes.
