Gilbert asked: Will there be "Video Poker for Winners" version that runs
on Windows
CE OS or PDAs? (similar to that of WinPoker)

There are no plans for that. VPW is far too complicated.

My ten year old desktop enjoys running Winpoker 6.05. It can't do alot of
things anymore on the web like any Adobe Reader stuff or even reviewing my Total
Rewards offers (since mid-July). Flashy and splashy things...forget it.

So what will be the computer system minimum requirements for the exciting "VP
for W" software? I might have to upgrade to at least 2001, a space oddessy,
era technology. The boys (and girls) at Action gaming should know this one by
now.

All you may need to do is add more memory. Of course, you can find
new systems for around $300 that will make your old hardware look
like a 3 legged turtle.

It is impractical to ask a developer in 2006 to make the software
backwards compatible with a ten year old system.

Finding memory to add to a ten year old desktop is a challenge in
itself.

That's why we have search engines.

Plus, a system that old may not be able to support a lot of
memory. Even the hard disk upgrade faces similar limitations.

Doesn't sound like the hard drive space is a problem in this case.

Absolutely true. However, this doesn't stop lots of folks from
wanting their 10 year old hardware to work. I worked with many of
them in my day. However, I find computers so inexpensive and the
software so much improved that it is simply more productive for me
to move forward every 5 years or so.

In the current situation, if additional memory can't be found or the
system is already maxed out, I'd suggest waiting for the new Windows
OS (unless your a mac guy) Vista which is supposed to be out early
next year and be in on the ground floor for the next 5-10 years.

Certified Vista "capable" systems are on the block. (Bought mine last
spring.)

True, but it will probably come with XP and then you would need to
purchase Vista when it becomes available. Given the release is planned
for January it might be more "frugal" to wait.

OR .... maybe you can become a Vista beta tester yourself and not wait.
