Just returned from a weekend trip to Vegas and noticed that, for this
trip anyway, my wallet was in good shape (it lost a lot of weight)
but I also noticed that I have a raw spot on my left elbow. This has
happened before and I'm assuming that it happens from rubbing on the
arm rest / padded bumper of the video poker machines. Has anybody
else had this happen or am I just doing something wrong?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. However, you may have a
workers comp claim. As you know, us folks who work long hours at vp
should be covered. If you are playing on a JOB you are actually
working for the house. Therefore, you should be able to file on
casino worker comp insurance. It's only fair.

I developed bursitis on the left elbow and had to have it drained a
number of times. About two weeks before I was going to have it
operated on, had it drained and the fluid never returned. Needless to
say, I cancelled the operation.
Was it from VP?...probably...I'm now very aware of how the left elbow
is positioned and try to vary every few minutes...as if there wasn't
enough to think about! Let's see...hold the ace alone if a ten of a
different suit is present and move the elbow...!!!

action of tapping hold/draw (or the screen itself) while playing vp
10 hours per day (or more) 4-5 days in row, while in Nevada.
Fortunately, I only have to contend with this 6-8 times per year as
I never play the lousy vp available to me at home.

The only finger complaint that I ever noticed was after hitting a
progressive royal at Sam's Town last year. And that was just from
the other players around me. Or maybe they just thought that I was
#1.

I know. The pain, the deep emotional scars. The outcast feeling and

Several times I have had the the little finger and ring finger of my right hand go into a spasm where they both curl in. Most unpleasant. I know then that it is time for a break!

You're much smarter than I am, Sylvia. Even though my hand hurts
(and cramps also) I go right on pounding away! I do try to change
to my left hand for awhile, but, since I am extemely right hand
oriented, and it involves reaching across the "wrong" way, that
usually only works for short periods. I just hope I'm not setting
myself up for carpal-tunnel sydrome due to live vp, laptop
practicing and my computer at work. I don't think I can apply for
workman's compensation if the injury is caused by vp!
