I don't believe it's side-stepping the issue because it's my issue, but I understand where you are coming from now. I just don't have the mindset to play for a certain color card for the 'benefits' before trying to win money.

Glen, are you suggesting, that a $1 VP player who travels to vegas for
a 4 day trip, and happens to sit down in the first 5 min. hits a RF
for $4000 and would most likely be up about that much, just quit for
the rest of the trip? I think that most of us take a long term
approach to VP and whether we hit something in the first 5 min or last
5 min of a trip or session isnt really significant. The more you play
the more RFs you will eventually hit, sometimes there will be long
lags between them and sometimes you will hit more than 1 in a day
(unless you quit). A 50play machine is a good example of this. if
you play 500 base hands per hour that is 25,000 hands per hour, and I
have gone many hours without a RF, and then I have hit a couple of
them in 10 min. Neither event tells you anything about the future,
you could be dealt 4 to the RF and get 2 or 3 on one hand (I have done
this with a StrFlsh), the next hand (or any time period you choose)
you could get a dealt RF, the point is, there is nothing magical about
getting a good hand or not getting a good hand, it is all random.
