I have always been able to get a free room there even suites, but I
play at a high level and I also play tables too - but I have gotten
many discounted rooms offers that were probably not based solely on
my play, but were just a massive hit into Southern California - they
may market Southern Cal differently than if you live in NY.
Again, you are probably better off paying something for the room
(assuming it is under $100) and playing the better games. And if you
think a Palms room comp is tough, I have had trouble with Caesars and
I am Seven Stars (a status I will not requalify for because there is
nothing left to play either in video poker or blackjack.
"The Palms always want out of towners - they treat the out of
towners better than the locals - the Palms has positive play
machines, NSU, 9/6 Jacks - why not play at the Palms and take a cab
to Strip?"
Have you tried getting a room comped at the Palms?
My understanding is that they are looking for a minimum of
$20,000/day for a comped room.
In addition, out-of-towners get very few mailings (if any) from the
Palms.
Care to elaborate on this good treatment that out-of-towners get?
