Have you tried getting a room comped at the Palms?

My understanding is that they are looking for a minimum of $20,000/day for a comped room.

In addition, out-of-towners get very few mailings (if any) from the Palms.

Care to elaborate on this good treatment that out-of-towners get?

     Just received (yesterday) an e-mail for four days @$39.00 per, up to four nights. Unfortunately it was starting Today! I happen to live in Massachusetts, fat change of going on that short notice.

I have always been able to get a free room there even suites, but I
play at a high level and I also play tables too - but I have gotten
many discounted rooms offers that were probably not based solely on
my play, but were just a massive hit into Southern California - they
may market Southern Cal differently than if you live in NY.

Again, you are probably better off paying something for the room
(assuming it is under $100) and playing the better games. And if you
think a Palms room comp is tough, I have had trouble with Caesars and
I am Seven Stars (a status I will not requalify for because there is
nothing left to play either in video poker or blackjack.

I disagree with your statement about the Palms. We played heavily
there ( we are out of towners) and I think we got 2 mailings over 2
years. Never got an offer for a cop room (and we ran through more
than 420K in one day each). I stop going to palms when they decided
they wanted to be known more as "anything goes" at their casino.
