Very Sad Day Bonus Poker at Paris gone

"I think what made these machines attractive was the approximate 3.5:1 ratio of bonus credits earned. But I won't miss sitting at those UPRIGHTS! "

So you put $10,000 through with an expected loss of about $100 (which will happen over the long run) for $45 in comps???

Tell you what, I will make you an even better offer. Give me $100 and I will give you a gift certificate good at any Harrahs casino for $50!!!

Playing for comps is never a good situation.

bonus and you have a deal.

I play for comps. There I said it and I'm glad. Out of the closet at last.

But even I will not play %98 payback machines .
I will play the good Harrahs machines at Laughlin and Windsor and If I stay at a Harrahs casino in
Vegas I will not play there.

After all that has been posted not sure if I should jump in on this
thread. People, wake up, it's a business! ! ! You vote with your
feet. You do what you think is morally right. You can "stick it"
to HET and not give them action as some have said they will be doing
for the rest of the year. It's your right, you've earned your
Diamond level for this year. Or you can take a $2000 bankroll and
try to make DIAD for "status" symbol as another poster is going to
attempt. I can only assume that there are HET employees monitoring
this group among the many other video poker groups. One can just
search Google and pull up any thread. Casinos are out to protect
themselves. No where is there a sign when you walk in that a casino
has to give you "positive" playable VP. In fact, we have books,
computer programs, casino consultants, semniar speakers, radio
personalities, The Travel Channel and groups like this that freely
discuss the EV, the theo., the RC, the TC, the % and the ETC. This
is not a knock on Jean, Bob, Dean and others. But a quick search
will result in Video Poker books for optimum play with paytables.
Jean has published numerious books on comps and how to maximize
them. I thank her, for if it wasn't for her I wouldn't know how to
ultilize the system to my advantage. Turn on on Travel Channel, you
have books authors on there that will clearly tell you why the same
type of VP machine being played with different paytables, why one is
far more superior play then the other with a weaker paytable. Search
Amazon, The Gambler Bookstore, how many books are written on video
poker? Gone are the days when we old timers had to palm our
computer printout of the strategy cards on proper play for VP and
was getting paranoid that the eye in the sky or a floor person was
going to catch us and lock us away. Now VP strategy cards are sold
side by side along with others strategy cards in every casino gift
shop. It is going to be tough weaning off positive plays. You'll
just have to decide if it's worth it to you to continue to patronize
HET.

Wife and I just came back last week from LV CP. Short TR, picked up
$300 on a promo, 3 nights in Augustus Towers, Celine Dion show, 2
Qua spa treatments ($210.00 each), dinner at Eiffel Tower
Restaurant, monthly show tickets to SOS, breakfast and meals at
Augustus Cafe, Diamond lounge for coffee and fresh fruits and three
days inroom internet service. Total bill, $50.00 tip wife left for
her spa treatments. What did I played? 8/5 $1/$2 JOB. Did I win?
No. Was I happy? Well... Did I have a good time? Yes. Will I do
it again? I have over 152 offers in my Total Rewards email box. I
could fly and stay at all four corners of the USA at HET
properties. Why all these offers? It's a business.

If I offended anyone, my sincere apologies. You will not run a
losing company and I don't believe HET will either. Ah, how we all
long for the good old days.

My two cents,
