This past November I used my HET Diamond card to get a Gold level
Venetian card and played enough to get an offer for a slot tournament
in January, which I am entering. I generally put through $30K daily
strictly in VP and was looking for a recommendation for a host. I
noticed four people listed as hosts in the vpFree website at the
Venetian. Any specific recommendations or are all four equally
approachable and accommodating, particularly with discretionary comps.

The Venetian's comps, like other casinos, can vary from host to host.
And it is difficult to change once you are "locked in" to a host.
There is one specific Venetian host I would not recommend under any
circumstances.
But since casinos "spy" on our beloved vpFREE I will have to answer
your question generically. If, for example. I told you here Mary
Smith was very loose with comps and the Venetian read my post, then
the good times with Mary for all might soon end.
I would suggest you contact at least four hosts in a general inquiry.
The slot club will tell you who is working or can transfer you to
voicemails. Pick the time which would coincide with your stay. You'll
get better service if your host isn't slways off when you come in.
Anyway, leave messages with prospective hosts and see who reponds and
values your play. You might also ask what your prior play would have
rated.
And keep seeking host feedback from other sources. For example, my
host next door at Harrahs knows my Venetian host well. So, do try
your hosts at other properties for information And realize with my
apologies that here on this site we have to be very guarded in what
we share.
