Venetian Update - Feedback from Host

I was at the Venetian last week and there is no change to the downgraded status of their VP. I could not find a FP machine for any game or any denomination.

I played my $600 FP through cashed out at $700 and left. I called my host and went back to MGM.

I called my host and left her a message apologizing for cashing the FP, and not playing. I explained that the VP machines had reduced pay tables since my last visit and although I really like the Venetian, why would I play there when all of the other Casinos offer better pay tables.

She called me back today and said she understands that the pay tables are reduced. She also said that anytime I wanted to come back to give her a call and they will set-up a 9/6 JOB/ 9/6 DDB, 8/5BP for me to play. I asked why they wouldn't just change the pay tables back but she didn't have an answer.

While I was there I noticed several machines out of service. My guess is that for now, it is FP VP by reservation only.

We looked at the Wynn inventory today. The two banks with $1

Also both bars have $1 single-line 9/6 JoB and there are several $1
50 plays, 100 plays, Spin Pokers and SpinPoker Deluxes on which
one line can be played.

There are also several $1 and up 3/5/10 play 9/6 JoB machines.

The database has been updated.

Interesting idea :Full pay by reservation only -will this be a new box to check off when booking a hotel-casino?

I am wondering about this post. I was at Venetian in October and
played 3/5 play 50c/$1 -- 9/6DDB. While not full pay, it's almost as
good as you get in LV these days.

Have these machines been downgraded as well? The 25c on these
machines was 9/5, so I guess it would make sense, but it would make me
sad since I will be there in a week and would like to have better
payback to "pay" for my comp room. :frowning:

Anyone been there and played these machines recently?

Thanks,
JJ

Even at the bars, the best $1 JOB is 7/5. It's just awful.

This seems like an odd decision for the casino to make. I guess they
figure getting .5% from you is better than nothing but if they can get
those who don't know better to play 8/5 JOB instead of 9/6 then they
should get it. But it also seems you are identifying yourself as a
knowledgeable player by "reserving" a better paytable.

We are just back from two days at Palazzo and four at Wynn. For our
entire time in Vegas there was 9/6 at both Palazzo and Venetian. There
were 6 machines just outside the high slots area in Game Kings at
Palazzo. One side was single line and the other multi-line. All of it
was $2 and above. At Venetian there were 10 machines. They were in
the bank where the old "3 amigos" used to be. One side single line and
one side multi-line. Once again only in $2 and up. We couldnt find
anything playable in $1 or below. We did NOT check the high limit area
machines.

Curiously enough, or maybe not so curiously, while we saw some other
machines in play we rarely saw anyone at the 9/6.
