Venetian Status

"At the booth today, I was told that points earned in December 2007
would count towards maintaining Gold level in 2008"

I was staying at the Venetian during the system changeover (Dec. 7-8), and
was told that my points toward tier status earned in Dec. 2007 would roll over
into 2008. The bad news is that I earned Gold in August this year and was
about half way to Platinum. I was told that while I now have Gold through 2009,
my point count toward Platinum started over at the change, and I lost those "
tier points " earned between August and December. I protested strongly, but
was told that nothing could be done ... it was just the way the new computer
program worked. Seems like a giant rip to me. Hope this helps.

Merry Christmas and a Flush New Year to all !
Joe

That's the sad part about computers. You can't program loyalty.

I know what halfway to Platinum means, and the Venetian has a severe
identity crisis if they are not sensitive to strong players like you.
Most of us saw immediately that they had substantially raised the
earning requirement for that level anyway.

Honestly, I never foresaw or even considered that in my life I'd see
the day that a million dollars coin-in "wasn't good enough".

Welcome to Club Grazie.
