NOTE: This comment assumes that 8/5 BP is available in all levels.
As much as everyone is complaining about Venetian, it seems like it
is better now than it was 2 months ago. The only problem is now
you have to play on Wednesdays with triple points. I am only at
the gold level, but at the highest level, this is even more so.
For gold level...
$6250 coin in gets 7500 pts which is worth $45. This is $30 more
than before. This is an extra .48%, which makes up for the
loss in ER caused by moving from 9/6 JOB to 8/5 BP.
Of course, if triple points go away and the games remain unchanged,
the change will be very noticable.
I was at the Venetian on Wed around 7PM. The 4 8/5 BP machines
(as far as I know these are the only 4 in the casino, at least
at the dollar level) were not all that busy. It took me almost 2
hours to play the 7500 coin in for my coupon, (and I know some
people have a lot more play to do for their coupon). ALl of this
makes me wonder what is going on? I would expect those machines to
be VERY busy on Wednesday.
Am I missing something, such as another bank or 2 of 8/5 BP?

The Wynn is very much aware of what Venetian/Palazzo are doing.
In a recent conversation with a Wynn host about a future stay we were
discussing comp levels. Out of the blue she blurted out, "Oh, and by
the way, don't forget we have 9/6 Jacks".
The Wynn isn't "accidentally" paying back a per cent better on their
Jacks game. Neither was the Venetian unaware of the same when they
immediately upgraded disgruntled Harrahs Diamond and Seven Star
players when newly enrolled in the old Venetian Players Club, now
Club Grazie.
But it didn't take long after the Palazzo opened for things to
deteriorate. Venetian lured experienced players from the Harrahs
properties and then downgraded. So for those planning long-term stays
at the Wynn you best read every paytable in full on every visit. If
Wynn follows Venetian's lead those 9/6 "bargains" won't last as long
as you think.
