Venetian or Bellagio-Which is better for Offers?

I am basically a low-roller-play at MSS for great comps and free rooms. Would love to 'treat' myself and stay at the Venetian or the Bellagio on a low rate or free offer. If I were to run approx $3000-$5000 coin-in on dollar JOB machines, which of the two would be more likely to mail me an offer? I have a card for the Venetian-unused for 3 years, no card for Bellagio.
Thanks to all of those who have been so generous with sharing information!!! Merry Christmas!! (well now Merry Day-After/Shopping for Thyself!)

Alisa,

Your very best bet here is to watch and take advantage of the periodic
mid-week room specials announced online. With typical discounted
rates of $100-$180/night, these specials provide excellent discounts
off rates that normally start in at around $250 and most often are $300+.

That's a much better prospect than the $400+ loss you might well rack
up in just trying to qualify for an uncertain future offer with such
relatively modest play through a $ machine.

These offers generally are made on short notice, but sometimes are
announced more than 60 days in advance of the stay during periods of
historically low occupancy. The Venetian is the more likely candidate
here.

To view what's currently being offered on the internet:

- On the Bellagio website click on "Special Promotions". Any
available room promos should be displayed on the next screen.

- On the Venetian website, click on the "Special Suite Offers" on the
home page. Or better yet, sign up for their email list and you'll
receive immediate notice of discounted rates as they're announced.

(Note that specials frequently sell out and may not actually be
available at the time you try to book.)

If you have a yearning to try your hand at some $1 Jacks in any case
and figure why not go for an offer while you're at it, the Venetian is
your best prospect.

I suspect (but don't know) that $5K won't garner much notice at
Bellagio, although $6000 of vp play will get a new player and their
friend entry into the exceptional buffet - a very attractive comp on
that amount of play. (But again, I recommend simply paying up for the
buffet rather than taking a shot merely for the sake of the comp.)

On the other hand, the Venetian has been known to encourage players to
"trade up" on relatively limited introductory play. They would extend
room offers to players that required a minimum play equal to that of
their last visit, in hopes that you would give more and then use that
greater play as the threshold for the next trip. I originally
qualified for my own room offers on select dates with just $6500 of
play. Now that they've opened the new tower, I suspect that they're
being even more generous with such offers.

Best of luck, Alisa (and wishes for the happiest of New Years

Recently, I asked a representative at the Players Club booth at the Bellagio why I had
not received an offer from the casino after being told over the phone that I would. (I
did receive an unexciting offer from the hotel division.) He told me that the Bellagio
was in the process of redecorating a huge number of rooms and that they just didn't
have anything to offer. Apparently, this situation will continue until fall of 04.

It looks like the Venetian may be a better bet for the immediate future.

Harry's suggestions are excellent. Sign up on their sites for E mail notification of upcoming specials and check specials already posted. Bargains can be had during slow periods. You will have a better chance of snagging the deal if you act quickly. That said, wife and I both received free weekday offers based on very little recent play on my part and not much more than a half hour of Megabuck chasing on wife's part. I attributed it to the added supply of rooms created buy the new tower.

I agree that the V may be the best bet in the near future. Lucky
Lucy and I just returned from a trip where we stayed at both the V
and the Bellagio. Our stay at the Venetian was over the weekend.
Both places were comped.
We started with the B by paying for one night several years ago
(when Wynn owned the place) and have received free room offers ever
since. We never stayed at the V and played very little there but
still received free room offers. A good chunk of the B is closed
due to renovation and rooms will be tight for the near future.
However, we find comps much better at the B. The Venetian expects
you to 'pay' for the rooms before they will consider additional food
comps. Not so at the B. They picked up all our food charges in
addition to the free room days.

BTW we are not high rollers but mostly 25 cent with some 50 cent
thrown in. Rarely do we touch a dollar machine.

If you have a slot card from either place, call them and ask for a
casino rate. As my hero Jean Scott always says, ASK.

Neither. Those are high roller joints. Maybe a little meal credit if
that. Forget rooms at either property. I was at the Venetian this
week. The older tower rooms need some work. Not as nice as they used
to be.

Did I understand this correctly. You are getting comp rooms at
Bellagio for .25 and .50 play? I have never heard anything like that
at all. Appreciate the info. V is very very tight on comps. As far
as I know they give little to VP players on the low end.
