My best guess is that with the current system, a point is worth about 1/5 of
a cent in retail value for Grazie Gifts. So your 150K would be worth about
$300, retail. Since most items are overvalued at these events, I figure actual
value at half retail.
Unfortunately, unlike Harrah's and MGM, there is no catalogue as yet to
confirm my value guess. I have told my host that it would be nice to be able to
figure in advance what we would like to buy at the Grazie Gift event.
Hopefully, there will be some sort of catalogue available for our perusal before the
actual event takes place. I'm sure you nonlocals would especially appreciate
having some idea of what you can get for how many points, before you book a
trip!

I just received an offer to visit the Venetian in early November and
participate the yearly Grazie Gift Extravaganza. My question to those
of you that have participated before - what is the value of it? For
example, per 10,000 points, what can one expect. My reason for asking
is whether it is worth it to schedule a trip to Vegas for this. We
have about 150,000 points and are not sure what we could get. We
travel pretty cheaply (retire airline employees) so the real deciding
factor is scheduling the time, particularly since we will be on a
cruise getting back into LA on the 8th. So we would need to drop over
to Vegas that Saturday or Sunday since the promotion ends on the 9th.
Thanks in advance for your input.
