I just received an offer to visit the Venetian in early November and
participate the yearly Grazie Gift Extravaganza. My question to those
of you that have participated before - what is the value of it? For
example, per 10,000 points, what can one expect. My reason for asking
is whether it is worth it to schedule a trip to Vegas for this. We
have about 150,000 points and are not sure what we could get. We
travel pretty cheaply (retire airline employees) so the real deciding
factor is scheduling the time, particularly since we will be on a
cruise getting back into LA on the 8th. So we would need to drop over
to Vegas that Saturday or Sunday since the promotion ends on the 9th.
Thanks in advance for your input.

My general response is that of the three shopping events (Grazie Gifts,
Holiday Gift Shoppe and Great Gift Wrap-up) the Venetian event had the
most "inflated" prices and least choice.
Also, there is an "overlap" of dates this year with the other two
events which make them more appealing and accessible.
But if you can justify the trip for any other reason you have certainly
earned your gifts and should collect them. Since a stay is not
required, perhaps you could tie it in with a tournament or spa package
at another property to justify the trip. I'm doing exactly that by
collecting travel cash at Harrahs and then walking over to Venetian
only to shop.
