Does this apply only to new Grazie card members or can any Harrahs
Diamond upgrade even if you already have a V card; and what about if
you upgraded many years ago, when V first opened?

I just called the Venetian and they told me that it is only Harrah's
properties
they are upgrading - 7*, Diamond, and Platinum.
I had a V card from when the Venetian opened and was recently upgraded
to gold based on my Station's President card. The upgraded gold card is
good for 3 months and if during that time you earn 3000 points it is
extended to a year. Normally you have to earn 30000 points in a year to
get the gold card for a year. By the way, not all the booth people
realize that Station premium cards qualify you for the upgrade but the
managers do.
