I had complained to my host at the Venetian a couple of times about some of
the unfair cruises - mostly for example they gave brand new players or "lapsed"
cruises if they played X amount of points within a short period, but when I
played the same amount (or more) I wasn't eligible because I was a regular
player, not a lapsed player.
I think that my discussions with the host on this helped us get the cruise
this time since she was aware how much we wanted to get cruise and were
available for last minute cancellations since we were not high enough on list for the
top 50 winners.
So sometimes it can be good to complain to a host and keep aware of
promotions.
