Venetian Comps (or lack of comps) Vs TI

Hi Curtis,
Thanks for the feedback. At least now I know it is not just me. What doesn't make sense ot me is that last year I played 20K and this year almost 100K and there is on difference in the comps. At 20K, it is a great value for a 3 nt strip suite comp but at 100K it is a different story.

Hi Joel.

I stay at the Venetian frequently (about eight times a year) taking
advantage of their free rooms, free tournaments, free play, etc. (including
the same offer you received).

The experience you described is very typical. At least for me.

I have had similar conversations with the hosts. No matter how much money I
put through their machines, I never get any comps over and above the stated
offers. And, the hosts are *always* rude and snobbish.

However, I have played at the Venetian on occasion without actually staying
there. On those occasions, they have comped meals (usually, $100 or so) if
I ask. But, they will never comp a meal (or anything else) for me, if they
are already giving me a free room.

Curtis

Hi,

Venetian
We stayed at the Ventetian on a (3) nt comp that included $50 Freeplay and
$50 F&B. Last year we stayed there on the same offer and gave them about 20K
play over the 3 days. This year we played about 95K there over the three
nts. When I went to check out, they wouldn't com p any room charges above
the offer. The woman at the host booth was rude and pretty snobby. We had
seen Blue Man Group and also had a dinner charged to the room. Is this
typical for the Venetian? Could the reason they wouldn't comp anything be
because of the little play last year? To top this off, service was poor and
food (especially the breakfast) was fair.

TI
We also stayed at TI on a (3) marketing comp in a mini suite with $250 FP
and $100 F&B. We played almost the exact same amt 98K over the (3) nts. When
we went to check out, we spoke with a host who comped all charges includning
dinner in Francesco's, (3) Mystere tickets and (3) breakfasts. He also said
he would bring us in anytime RFB.

I couldn't believe how differently we were treated at what I consider
comparable properties for the same play. If this is typical, why would
anyone stay at the Venetian?

We won't be back to Venetian unless it is to burn them on a future offer
that does not require a minimum amount of play.

Joel
