Well I have been a member here for several months now. I mostly just
sit back and learn from all the experienced advice on this board. I
live in Colorado and we have limited stakes casinos here. I have read
several of the books reccomended by players here as well as Bob
Dancer's and Jean's video poker programs. I have basically stuck to
JOB 25c machines. I made some trips to the local casinos to get some
practice in. Last week the wife and I flew into vegas on a direct
flight out of the little Ft Collins Airport. We had gotten a package
deal through Allegiant Air. We have stayed at some of the bigger
newer places on the strip many times before. Up until now I mostly
was a blackjack/live poker player. This trip was to mainly focus on
video poker. We stayed at the Four Queens and a few days before we
arrived I found the casino host name through this web site and
contacted Paul just to introduce myself. He set us up with players
cards and such upon arrival. This was my first time staying here, I
liked the casino, staff was friendly. The rooms we so so. They were
clean, fairly quiet, just nothing fancy, but we dont spend a heck of
a lot of time in our rooms anyway. We were staying Monday thru Friday
morning. Monday night we had a really nice dinner in the Great
Moments Room at the Vegas club(awesome steaks and salad and service).
Got dinner half price thanks to POV. We played video poker mostly at
the Four Queens. The best JOB I could find was 8/6 progressive on the
bar tops in the four queens. We probably played a total of 4-5 hours
as day. We hit 3 progressive royals during out stay, one for $1200,
one for $2300 and one for $1100. So we had a pretty good trip over
all. It made us feel good that on our last night there, Paul the
Casino Host came and found us in the casino, gave us some comps and
his card and told us to contact him when we wanted to come back.
Besides from the gambling we saw some great stand up at the Tropicana
Comedy Club, took the wife on the Hoover Damn tour since she has
never been there, we also took a drive out to Buffalo Bills in Primm
to take advantage of out free coaster coupons thanks to the American
Casino Guide. We also used lots of match play BJ coupons from both
books as well. We had a blast, cant wait to head back out soon. It
seemed like 9/6 JOB are becoming tought to find. Terribles was the
only place I found where they were readily available. Anyway, thanks
for all the advice, take care, Bobby

Bob, congats on the major hits, Four Queens is a fine joint. They have been
improving on the floor, both in games, service and cleaniless.

But you should not have to look for games to play. If the vpFREE database is
up-to-date, then no searching is needed. So what game(s) were the royals hit?

What was your favorite bartop? Kingss Bar, Chicago Brewing Co. or that thrid
bar that open at noon?
