Vegas trip report/observations and questions

They should have called a bellman toute d'suite to handle your bags for you
right off the bat since they're the ones who wanted you to relocate.

Back in the late 80s when I was a newbie at Lady Luck (woo-woo... :>) and
before I had learned to be assertive, I arrived at their desk with my
reservation in hand, only to be told they had no rooms. They wanted to send me
...for 1 night only... over to the Rainbow Hotel. (Quit laughing....)

Well, hey...what did I know? I thought they were doing me a huge favor
instead of leaving me stranded downtown. So, up pulled an Aston Martin circa
1949-50 I would guess, and a chauffeur drove me over to the Rainbow, after a
little tour of downtown to pass some time.

The next day, they picked me up in their big white limo and took me back to
The Lady Luck. I was given one of their corners suites for my next 2 nights
with an early type jetted tub.

I thought this was very well handled seeing that I didn't even have their
Mad Money card yet.

It was a great place in its heyday. Tons of full pay deuces, 4700 coin FP jokers, 17/15 loose deuce, $ 10/7 DB's and the best free Chicago hot dog around !
PS - the only negative I can remember about the place was that its halls had a really bad odor, and you could not wait to enter your room.

I remember that smell too. Always assumed it was
the buffet.
