I am usually a lurker to the board as we live in Oklahoma and only make
to Vegas twice a year. Got a sweet last minute deal last week (10-7
thru 10-11) $195 for two round trip. We stay and play at MSS and got
four nights comped. The fifth night we had to pay at Fremont.
We always have a great time at MSS we mainly play .25 DDB VP at the bar
as our EV also includes numerous beverages which we never wait for and
the barkeeps are great! Brian on day shift always knew when coffee was
over and Bud should flow... anyhow I digress.
So on Tues wife decides to go for it and throws out about $250 playing
dollar VP. Nothing hits and I talk her into going back to .25
Yeap not 30 minutes later she hits diamond Royal holding three cards.
Progressive was about $1065.
Talking to the bartender later that night I learned someone later hit
the dollar progressive and someone else got the $5000.00 four of a kind
scratch card. I talked to the attendant that gave out the scratch card
and confirmed the story.
Anyhow, went to Mystere (SP) and The Price Is Right at Ballys. Mystere
was great! TPIR is great with a beer buzz even without being called.
So, learn on Wednesday that our room at Fremont is not going to open.
Boyds informs that they will comp our night if we go to Sams Town. As
we expected to walk from MSS to Fremont, it ended up costing us a cab
ride as I did not feel like riding their shuttle with bags of luggage.
(we asked if they would work with us and that went nowhere. (Little
disapointed... comments on similar events??
We went to Sams Town cause we thought it would be a nice change, and
neither of us had been there. We got checked in, and proceeded to the
VP bar. Within 3 minutes I matched my wife's VP by hitting my own also
diamonds, holding three. Progressive was at $1046. We injoyed the rest
of the night sitting at the VP bar in the atrium (SP). Neat place and
huge.

Questions: 1. We got cash back of $28 at MSS any idea what that means
we ran through the machines??
2. We left about 7000 points on our cards at Sams Town, do you think
they realize we were there? (In terms of offers)
