Vegas strip

Hello all,
I am going to be on the Vegas strip (flamingo) for 5 days next week. It has been a while and I don't have the bankroll I once had so what's the best on strip casino (or closest to it) for quarter VP (bonus poker or JoB). I see the lists but it seems most of the decent places are well off the strip. Any advice?

Thanks

The closest place to the Flamingo with good video poker would be the Palms and the Gold Coast which is across the street from it. The Gold coast has a free shuttle to and from the forum shops.

all you have to do is take the 202 bus east a couple of stops to the Palms from the corner of the strip and Flamingo. Plenty of quarter FPDW and 10/7 DB. The buffet is cheaper and better than any CET property unless you count the ridiculous $50 buffet at CP.

East? How about West?

As always, the answer to this question depends on if you will have a car. Your question implies that you won't have a car so let's go that way. There is no decent $.25 vp on the Strip. (Well, Treasure Island had $1 9/6 JoB but gave no points/comps when you play those machines. You can check each casino's vp offerings by going to vpFREE2: Video Poker Information To Help You Win http://www.vpfree2.com and I'll actually check it on my iPhone when I'm in the casino so that I can find exactly where the best machines are located.
But you can take the free CEZ shuttle to the Rio. From there you can cross the streets to the Gold Coast (lots of good vp!) or the Palms (some decent vp). Personally, I play CEZ casinos locally and book at the Rio when I go to LV. Then, I stiff the Rio for their greedy pay-tables and play across the street at the Coast. Then after 3 days I move across the street to the Gold Coast or the Palms for a free room there. I use miles for my airfare and comp points for meals. Works out great for a 'free' trip to LV.

Stu,
Believe that it is NYNY that doesn't give points on their 25 cent - dollar 9/6 VP

TI gives points on their dollar VP although at a very meager rate.

Thanks all for the advice. Sounds like it's going to be the gold coast and the palms for me. Lets hope there are some photos to update with on my return.

Just wondering why the Coast over the Palms? I was at the Coast 2 months ago and they had no 100 percent plus machines while the Palms has multiple choices for such.

The Gold coast is better than the Palms for mailed offers to small players, if you’re concerned about future offers.
