On my next trip to Vegas I would like to rent a car in Vegas and also
drive to Bullhead City, AZ (about 20 miles from Laughlin) to visit
friends for a couple of days. I understand that a rental care should not
be driven out of state. If there is a penalty for this ,is there any
way to know which companies have devices which can track you
geographically. Thanks for any info. Ray

Hi Ray,
It is my understanding that car rental companies have no problem with
renters driving their cars out of state, as long as you tell the
company up front that you are going to do so. I have rented from
several companies in Las Vegas, and I always told them that I might
take a ride into Arizona, Utah or California. They just noted that
on the rental agreement, and there was no extra charge.

Most that have restrictions restrict you to the AZ,
NV, CA, UT four state area. Many have no
restrictions. Have used Dollar for the last two or
three years and have had no restrictions.

I have direct experience with Dollar on a recent trip through AZ, into Bullhead and Laughlin and back up through NV. No problems.
