I'd go to the UMC Quick Care - http://tinyurl.com/ygayt7 first. If you needed to get to a hospital from there, they'd be able to help.
Where would one go in Laughlin?? We visited there and I fell in the room and cut my knee. We got all the medical supplies they had in small store and asked if the hotel had a medical kit and they said no. By the time I got home, had a very bad bacterial infection and was in hospital for a week on IV antibiotic. We do carry more medical supplies now!

Where would locals go? It's one of the reasons I posted. Health care in
Vegas is being stretched thinner than many of our easter communities.
With my new found knowledge, health care might be a knock out question
as to reasons to live in Vegas. As usual, though, as time passes we
tend to forget the bad times. In my town, with huge university
hospitals, I take good health care for granted. Vegas is a fast growing
area. There is a shortage of health persons.
One positive note; the hospital was so small that emergency room people
would recognize me in halls. They would stop me and ask about my wife.
ICU nurses visited my wife to talk to her after she came around and was
able to talk. They just wanted to say hi and tell her how they were
worried about her. Being used to big city hospitals, this was something
different. Don't get me wrong, they have bigger hospitals too. UMC is
down the block and I believe it is a trauma hospital. The doctors do
travel from place to place. We just landed in a small hospital. The
cafeteria only has seating for about 50 people; that's for employees
and visitors.. That gives an idea of how big the hospital was.
Bellagio? Ya just never know where you might get bad food. Big or
small places, it's always possible.
Cheers....jeep

I am so glad to hear your wife is doing okay now.
Maybe the group members who live in Las Vegas can tell us what
hospitals
have a good reputation and what ones to avoid.
A few years ago I got food poisoning from the Bellagio buffet. I was
