The new resort fee at South Point is only applied to new reservations made today and after. If you have a reservation that was made before March 1st (I have a room reserved for next week, which I made 3 weeks ago) then you will not get the new fee added on. Or so they said, on the phone...

Good article, but it implies that the lost 100% machines were replaced by 99.6 to 99.9 machines. Some of that while true, is missing a stat. Stations also got rid of a ton of 99.6 to 99.9 machines , and lost whole optimum and near-optimum banks at a time. The net-net of the whole inventory change is probably a huge drop in VP EV. and since these banks have been 86'd, a longer wait for the good machines as the "hog effect/ sorry machine reserved for aunt vicky " is now more prevalent.
I have yet to find anybody who views the last 9 months of changes "favorable". I have not heard anybody get more excited than a 5 second yawn for the new "my poker " customizable, but poor pay schedules machines.

Anyone know how they will handle the resort fee on comped rooms?
