I 15 can be brutal on the Sunday after Thanksgiving as well as the Wednesday before.
Casinos themselves not bad though, and great meals almost everywhere.

Did a trip about 5 years ago at the Mirage, Monday thru Wednesday, the place was empty. I sat at a $5 Blackjack table all alone. When I left the room on Thursday AM, it was Grand Central Station at rush hour.
We did get great tickets to see Bill Cosby at the Sigfreak and Boy theater on Thanksgiving night.
Left Vegas on Friday AM, no problem at the airport.
