Vegas comps

I would suggest MSS; however I have not stayed there before I had a room
offer. But, it is right in the midst of ole LV and (diversion w/in waling
distance) and they are very generous w/ FPVP and a great buffet and pub. My host
is Brenda Palmer and you may e-mail privately (tonight as I am leaving for
there Wed am; or after 9/10) if you want to use my name as a reference.

My wife and I will be going to Vegas for 3 or 4 nights sometime in

the next 4-6 weeks for some 25 cent FPDW. Our goal, if possible, is
to get our rooms and food comped on about $ 5 to 6,000 play/day
total. I've narrowed down our choices to the following places:

Fiesta Henderson
Palace Station
Sunset Station
Texas Station
Main Street Station
Sam's Town

I have only been in Sam's (several years ago), so we don't know

much about the casinos, rooms, and desireability of these places.
We'd appreciate your input on which is best for us and the amount of
play needed versus what we would get in return.

Thanks for all your help.

While I am still "behind" over 8 Royals for the number of hands played, today I did finally get a Royal.

DEALT. KQTAJ diamonds. at Orleans. Which is where I had my last one on May 17th. What is funny is that I have only played about $25,000 coin in at Orleans this year. It is one of the places I play the least.

We have had several dealt ones, all of which have been on multiline games. Today was my first single line dealt Royal. I am not complaining. Only 8 more to go......

Congradulations!

Congrats! I am now up to 1 royal in my last 366 scares, and the 1 was
dealt, too. On a single line, no less (paladin generally plays
multi-line stuff). Burned the hell out of me...

It's kind of weird, I go through the same thing with quads, sometimes
when going several cycles without a quad, I get dealt one.

I've twice had two royals on single line machines within a half-hour.
Hang in there, they'll come.

Hi Christy, sorry this is so late. Thank you for responding. I have considered MSS, but I was concerned because vpfree only shows them having 6 fpdw machines. I figured getting on 2 of those at once could be very challenging. Will you be on the net while in Vegas to tell me how it's going for you? I assume that you are playing fpdw. Any idea what you will average in coin-in/day and the comps you expect to receive in return? Again my wife and I both thank you for the info and respond if you have the time. GOOD LUCK!!!

cash back and comps make the trips to ac worthwhile,
plus what price can we put on relaxation.. i am not a
professional, and i enjoy playing for recreation.
having fun is the utmost of importance to me at my
stage in life.

there is your answer. It is positive for you. And comps do have value to people. Right now all my food basically comes from the casinos. And entertainment as well.

If it is worth "tons" to you then it makes sense.

But the problem we were looking at earlier is in locations where better opportunities on full pay games exist.

There are times where less than 100% games make sense. Lots of times! But when a person chooses to play short pay because of superstition then I do not accept the logic of playing the lower percentage machines.

Pleased Borgata works for you. We consider it our "Vegas away from
Vegas" play.

It's a little bizarre that you seem a little defensive in your post
(defending its value even though it was never challenged).

Of course, near break-even plays can be hazardous to your bankroll.
No protection at all against the inevitable ebb of play. (no defined
ROR bankroll)

- H.

i agree with your last paragraph...borgatta offers
sooo much to my wife and i that it is impossible for
us to go anyplace else...we were there for the opening
and from then on everything has been on them and
terrific.
