Vegas at Christmas

If you don't take prayer seriously in church, why go? Prayer is the basis of church.
BTW - put the "Christ" back in Christmas (not XMAS).
A Blessed Christmas to all, even if you must spend it in a casino.

Rick, you are quite a comic, too bad I won't be in Vegas until 1/3/04, to see
Cher. Xmas in Vegas is fun though, had a family reunion there last year.
Good Luck,
Liz

I knew Dancer would eventually get in trouble with that joke whe I first heard
it two years ago.. By the way, "x" is an ancient acceptable Greek symbol for
"Christ", so I guess it is O.K. to use it.

I seldom post to this group which I like very much,
I am more of a lurker. I have recently acquired a
sincere belief that many people in the world, not just
members of this group, need to LIGHTEN UP!
By way of example, may I share a little something
personal? It is not all off topic. I do not play
perfect strategy in VP, I could, but I am too lazy to
memorize all the penalty card situations etc. I am a
drinking man, I like to play bar top video poker and I
am sure, like many people I delude myself into
thinking the value of the "free booze" (I drink some
expensive stuff when in Las Vegas) makes up for the
mistakes I make. I don't need to make a profit playing
video poker, I have some discretionary income. I am
mainly interested in staying close enough to even to
keep my wife from nagging me so much on how much I
lose gambling. So far successfully, if I may add. A
question for the group, which I consider my internet
friends. Am I a bad person for acting this way and
having these beliefs ?
Another quick example, I wil try to keep it short.
I have other interests in life like many in this
group. I am a certified bridge expert, albeit one or
two rungs below world class. However, I am a good
enough bridge player to have played against many
current and former world champions. They usually beat
the snot out of me, but some bridge tournament events
have a strong element of luck and I have had my
moments:-) Some of you may be interested to know, that
a frequent poster here, Karen Allison is someone I
have never met but I know who she is. She is a world
class woman bridge player and I am guessing whe will
not be offended at my posting this information about
her. I apolige to her publicly if she feels otherwise,
but it is public information.
I have a couple of other things of a similar vein if
anyone is interested but I think I am in a state of
"euphoria" Some great things have happened in my
personal life lately, not just the lucky (yeah, yeah,
I know the word luck is taboo here) $20,000 royal I
hit my last trip which I think I posted a trip report
here. I have some ego, how come nobody responded to
it?
My wife tells me I talk to much lately, I will
shut up now and hit the Send button!!
