sooooo, variance is reduced in multi-line play right?
how much is the difference between a single line $1, and a 1 cent 100 line?
does a spinpoker have a different variance than if you played a 9
'straight' lines a hand?
thanks again

For 9/6 JoB the standard dev of 100-play penny is about 3 times
smaller than that of dollar single-line. For 10/7 DB and FPDW it's
about 2.75 times smaller. More details for those 3 games at the wizard
of odds' site.
Spin poker has more correlation between the lines that "straight"
9-play, so it most likely has a higher variance (that's instinct, I
don't have hard numbers).

I can only partially answer this from a generalist perspective. There is a factor called co-variance that is needed to make a calculation of the "variance" and required bankroll for multiline games. Obviously there is an inter-relationship between the dealt hand and the other hands. Years ago, Jazbo I believe, did some work on this and published a few of the common covariances. I believe some others in the group can calculate them. Sadly I do not have the inherent knowledge to do this... Although if there was a formula to do this I imagine I could utilize it. (HINT)
By the way variance is not reduced. It is still higher, but it is NOT evenly "additive" when you add more lines.
For example, I believe single line JOB variance is 19.51468 and triple play is 23.44668

Variance per draw is higher, variance per deal is lower.
Personally, I count how many deals I can play (a few hundreds per
hour), so I care about the variance per deal. Actually, I look at the
standard deviation in dollars, because that's a unit that "talks" to
me. For single-line JoB at $5 per deal ($1 denom), it's approximately
$22. For 100-line JoB at $5 per deal (1c denom), it's approximately
$7.30
