Variance, fluctuation and volatility

Do all these terms refer to the same concept in VP? I just want to make
sure I am understanding the terms.

Thanks

Variance is a mathematical term with a strictly defined meaning. For
short VP sessions (measured in hours or days) variance is a poor
indicator of the behavior of the game. Using the word outside of its
mathematical context is a source of misunderstanding.

Volatility, fluctuation and streakiness have no meaning that I'm aware
of in mathematics.
