Using WinPoker's Game Analysis feature Total Return and Variance are
calculated automatically. Given all the information the Analysis
provides, if Total Return were not given, it is fairly easy to
calculate what it would be. Using Excel (or whatever means) is it
possible to take the Analysis table and calculate what Variance would
be? Not sure if that makes sense. Simply, if Variance were not
provided, can it be calulated for the Analysis table?

In short, yes it can. The math involved requires nothing more than
some basic math. However, the steps are a little more involved than
can be briefly detailed.

The definition of variance is : The sum of ( (the square of the
deviation from the mean) times the probability ).
Using * for multiplication, and ^2 for squaring,
For 9/6 JOB (for example), the 3-of-a-kind contribution to the
game's variance is
( (3 - 0.9954) ^2 ) * 0.07445
Now do this for every hand type and add all these contributions
together, you'll get the game's variance.
Note : don't forget the contribution of the "nothing" hand, which is
( (0 - 0.9954) ^2 ) * 0.5454
