First, thanks for all the responses to my comps and hotel questions.

I have re-read a bunch of old posts (I'm back to #7374, I think) and
I'd like some expansion/clarification of a thread way back there.
Basically, I'd like to play VP at 25 cents per play. My goal is to
find the type of video poker and the number of coins (1 or 5) to play
which most smoothes out the bankroll swings inherent in the game. I'm
not sure if the correct term is volatility or variance, but you get
the idea about what I'm asking. I'd like to make my bankroll last as
long as possible and lessen the chance of busting for a day. Now, I
know I could play video BJ at this level to have the lowest variance,
but that gets pretty boring after awhile.
I'm pretty sure that short-coin play keeps the "bankroll swings" less
severe in exchange for a loss of EV. Thus, I think I'm asking for
information on variance (or is it volatility) for short-coin FPDW
versus short-coin 9/6 JoB.
Do I recall correctly that variance for short-coin FPDW is 13.6? What
is the figure for short-coin 9/6 JoB?
Lastly, does anyone have strategy changes for playing 9/6 JoB and
FPDW at less than full-coin?
