Has anyone been to the VV casino since they opened the new part? how
is it?
was hoping they changed where the buffet is as it was so small the line
was always all the way around the casino on a friday.
thanks for any info

Trish, my wife and I were there Sunday afternoon and evening. It was
quite crowded that day, but fortunately the aisles are a little wider
now. They did move the buffet, but keep in mind that this expansion
is still a work in progress. The procedure was to get in line
starting at 3:30 to be assigned a time (shift) for dinner.
Unfortunately that line was outside in the cold, and it was llonngg!
When our 5pm time came we had to wait in line again, this time inside.
When they complete the expansion, I'm told that the line will be
inside. And the buffet was very good, as usual.

Yes - NEW casino now open. The OLD bldg/buffet area is completely off limits to players now. They are planning to add on a new steakhouse (where the original entrance to the old bldg used to be).
New/temporary? buffet area is now in what was the former 'events' area, and SEPARATE from the casino. much larger area, and lines can also get long during primetime eating hours.... they're probably experimenting on how best to move the most people THRU the buffet without inconvenience)....
In fact, you have to ENTER the new casino via the NEW BLDG entrance.
You can SEE the buffet area from the non-smoking room, but that room no longer has open/access to the buffet - which may be temporary, as RRs are over there.
Martin.

That sounds kinda weird....get in line to get in line later!! LOL kinda
like a Disneyland fastpass.
the last 3 times we have been there (which unfortunately has always
been on a friday) we have ended up taking the $10 in moreplay because
the lines were sooooooooooooo long and we have free food up the road at
Harrahs also. The buffet at VV is better food IMO so was hoping that
maybe we could get into it this time but again we are arriving at 6pm
ish on friday....so will probably end up with the more-play!
Where did they move the 100 play vp machines that use to be in front of
the players card in the non-smoking area. Did you see any other new or
decent VP to play?
I sure hope they set the new rooms up in a better arrangement....it was
the most crowded feeling and most poorly set-up I've ever seen the old
way.
thanks for the info!
Trish
Disneyland Fastpass is a good way to describe it. LOL The original
hundred-play (starting at pennies) are now in the smoking casino. If
you turn your back on the Players Club and walk almost straight back
you will find them. There are a few new ones in the non-smoking
casino. Enter that casino from the smoking casino, turn left
immediately. Follow that aisle and turn right at last opportunity.
There are three 100-plays on the right, one on the left. I haven't
explored completely by any means, but there is some full-pay DDB on
the some Game King machines on the left (in quarters).

No employee that was asked understood how the buffet worked.
Communication is poor with the managers and staff. I have had 3
different ansers from 3 different people at the Players Club about
the buffet.
So, now you are saying you have to go stand in line to get a time to
stand in line.? Did we miss the concept of a buffet? That sounds
more like a resturant that you are making reservations at.

I know many of you do, but why would anyone play pennies on the 100
play. The pay schedules are AWFUL.
FYI... Still very crowded with alot of people playing penny slots
and their beloved keno stuff.
