Is this deal still going on?
I'm taking my girlfriend down to San Diego next month for her birthday, and I told her that we'd swing by a few casinos...
I noticed on their website, they still list is...but is there a catch to it now??
Valley View: Free Lobster Buffet??
As far as I know it's still going on, but call to be sure.

It is. It is always being advertised on LA/OC and San Diego radio stations. There is a slight catch, however. They do claim to "sell out" of the comped new card applicant buffets. Seems they have a daily limit as to how many of THESE buffets they give away. It happened to a friend of mine during his first trip to VV. We did go to the buffet rather late, within the last half hour before closing. If you go early enough, you should be fine other than having to wait in an often quite lengthy line. On the plus side, my friend received a food voucher for $20 to use that night instead, good at other eateries there such as Black And Blue Steakhouse, BLD's, and also at the buffet if he wanted to pay the difference. And his free buffet was in his account to use at a later date.

This was my experience as well. Food is clearly a major part of their
promotional efforts, and the various eateries were pretty crowded.

Remember, this deal is only good for new players signing up for the player's club card for the VERY FIRST time.
