Just a quick update: The poker room has closed down officially. It did not get the business they had hoped for and now Pala has opened up a big poker room so... Latest news is they may make it a promotion center. Since they did get approval for more slot machines I am sure that was a major reason for closing the poker room. Last update on the hotel is that it will not be opened until end of 2010 or 2011.
They have scaled back on many of their promotions. Instead of the minium being $5 more play , it now can be as low as 42 more play or a wild card for the wed night drawing or Friday drawing. It all makes it sound like they are have money problems but with the amount of people (and types of people) they are bussing in from LA and beyond - I would say that is not the case.
Invitational tournaments have changed as welll but for the better. They now allow people to come and register once they get there (or once there number is called). Alot more people get to play and the phone lines are not all tied up on those 2 days everyone gets their offers in the mail.
