Eric,
Different strokes for different folks.I tend to go where I can win once in
a while.
I get free nights at Harrahs- far nicer than V V- but the pay tables are
EXTREMELY tight and rarely win.
Pechanga isn't as tight as Harrah's but it's huge and impersonal and does
not have generous Free Play.
Yes it's a lot nicer and if nice decor is your thing, this is your place.
Pechanga is a great place if you want to go to dinner and gamble a bit
before seeing the show. It has nice hotel rooms as well.
Pauma is more of a dive than Valley View and I don't have good luck there.
But if it appeals to you, it may be your place.
I have been at Barona a few times and overall my luck has not been good.
All of these places except for Pauma are nicer than V V. When the hotel
tower is done I expect V V will come up a notch.
V V is crowded a lot of the time but if you go on a weekday during the
day, it's not bad. I work for myself and can manage such hours. I suspect it
has crowds because of the generous promotions and good pay tables.

Have you ever not gone back to a casino just because of the "feel" of the
place? Well, that's how I react to VV. Even during the day, it's too
crowded for me. Some good DW SP last time I went. The line to the players club is
waaaaaay long. Good concert venue outside, saw Randy Travis there. Caution
needed on the twisty road , especially at night. I've been to most of the
casinos in SD County and Pechanga, I'd rate this place middle of the bunch.
