1. Many players who aren't tuned in don't use them. Not a great reason--but it happens with the person sitting next to you all the time. If they knew their stuff it stands to reason they would never play without their card, but unless you ask why you never really know..
2. I play overnight all the time. If I'm planning on using my cards and I forget it/them, I still play even if the slot club is not a 24-hour affair. It's a decision on whether I want the money or the points.
3. I've played in the past--and still do on occasion--many sessions without a card purposely. I prefer not to be tracked at these times for reasons previously discussed but not allowed here, and I believe it has been to my advantage.
I agree many things happen behind the scene with CTR's (as well they should) - whether a card is used or not - only with >$1200 handpays however. But it has nothing to do with the person's gambling....and it shouldn't shock anybody. A player either knows what they're doing, knows what's going on with what they're doing, and knows how to handle all possible agendas resulting from what they're doing--or they shouldn't be doing it.
