Had to cancel a flight in my name booked last November, 2005 through Prestige
Travel
using Station points. I was told to keep the confirmation number as it would
be my code to re-book (on my own) and use the credit from this flight.
In booking I got to the final stage, gave the code but then needed the credit
card "name" of the booking company. It was not Prestige Travel and they
informed me they issue the ticket but the payor credit card is from Stations.
Stations would not give any info re their card to Prestige.
The official solution was to use Prestige travel again to rebook (another $25
in points). Since, my original ticket was a bit over $100, I resented having
to pay a total of $50 in points for the travel service fees.
I again called the airline and got to the final stage, gave the code and now
just guessed and gave "station casinos"as the cardholder to which the agent
admitted wasn't exactly letter perfect but close enough. She took the booking
and my potential "Catch 22" was solved.
Passing the info along. Its only points, I know but I still husband them
carefully.
