Using comps from AC in LV

Some Atlantic City casinos let you "bank" your comp's, notably the Borgata

and the Park Place place's. My wife and I have saved up to treat her brother
and his wife to a nice meal, and a couple of friend's and their kids' to a
buffet.

We're in the process of putting together out trips plans for mid-December to
Las Vegas, and have been told by the Park Place people there that we can use
our Atlantic City "Connection Card" banked food comps. However, they said
that we can't use the room comps.

It's probably just as well, because we've found that rooms in LV are pretty
easy to come by.

The reverse might be even better at the moment -- bringing your banked LV
comps to AC. But the Park Place people said that this remaining linkup,
computer system to computer system, is still a year away.

Our Vegas RFB itinerary at the moment --

15, 16 Las Vegas Hilton
17, 18 Rio
19, 20 Sam's Town
21, 22, + 23 Mirage
24, 25 Venetian

Sadly -- the last time we were in LV, the Palms hadn't yet opened. We could
probably get "casino rate" that would be comped away, but we've already thrown
away a few offers (Luxor, Strat, SAHARA -- whee! whee! that didn't appeal
so much as this particular array. At 50, I don't need the noise and headaches
of the Hard Rock way. We also looked at going where Bob Dancer's teaching --
Fiesta Rancho on Dec. 16th -- but the casino, charitably, might be called a
dump, so if we were to put in an appearance there and check out the machines,
I'd be surprised if we stayed very long.

Current entertainment itinerary is Brian Boitano (ice skating) at Mandalay Bay
on the 19th, and Andy Lau at MGM on the 25th. (One of us appreciates him
singing in Chinese, and the other won't be bothered by the banality of the
lyrics if I can't understand them. ;-p )

You can't carry room offers from an AC property to LV any more than
you can from one AC casino to another in AC. However, in either case
a host can more than likely work out an advance room comp for you at
another property. We stayed at Paris for 2 nights this last January
by this means on a stay set up by a Bally's AC host.

Actually this link up was completed this fall (and it's the same one
that allows you to use your AC comps in LV). The AC and LV comp
programs were merged (in September?). Players with comps in both
arenas should see their aggregate comp balance when they pop any of
their PP Connection cards in a kiosk.

Have a good trip, John.

Your banked food comps may be used at any Park Place
hotel in Vegas. If you use the any of the kiosks, you
must have your pin number inputted(?) at each hotel in
Vegas (Park Place) to use the kiosk in the different
locations. Also, there is a $200 limit as to comps
used on a daily basis. It's great and many of the
restaurants use the comps. The Eiffel Tower
Restaurant does not take comps however, so they are no
good there.

As far as rooms, have your Altantic City host work
with a host at the hotel in which you would like to
stay. We just got back from Vegas and our Caesars
Indiana host hooked me up with a host from Caeasars
Palace. We were comped our room and upgraded to a
jacuzzi room. Our host made sure we had a nice fruit
basket with mints and candy. We had a great time.

A casino host can write you a comp upon request against your account
in the event that you're likely to exceed the $200 kiosk limit.

As you note, comps are not valid at restaurants not owned by Park
Place properties (such as Eiffel Tower).
