updates of databases

It would be a shame to not have them updated. Ever think of
switching to a pay subscription? That way monitors could be
compensated. Is there anyone here who wouldn't pay $20 a month?
I'm pretty new but would have no problem with something like that.

Good idea. However, it is possible that if you start charging, somebody would put together a similar website for free, thereby making your pay-site superfluous. On the plus side, that would relieve the webmaster of a thankless task and leave him more time to write whimsical emails.

John

I think charging for a group like this is a bad idea. But that, of
course, is my opinion.

I would like to see how many of the 6000+ members would agree for a
membership fee (of course, it can't be Yahoo group anymore; right?) for
$20 an year; let alone a month.

I wish a poll were taken on the topic. Too bad I can't start it on my
own. If I could, I would ask how many would be willing to pay $5, $10,
$15, $20 an year for the privilege of belonging to the group.

Of course, once you start charging money, it would bring up a host of
problems along with it. Imagine managing a pool of money of the size
$20X6000! A pretty nice size bankroll!!

Let me just leavt it at that.

I think that $20/yr is fair considering the work involved keepin stuff up to date.

Do you Yahoo!?
Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo! Mail.

You are not looking at the ancillary problems it causes; for starters,
the group will be booted out of Yahoo.

And the management of $120,000!
