Update to Caesars and their $100 FPDW

I deleted my original post and edited and here is the new one.

Here is the Rest-of-the-Story for everyone who wished they had known about
the FPDW machines at Caesars - or at least wished they had the bankroll to
have played it if they had known about it.

First, if you don't know the details about Richard Brodie's initial
experience with
this, go to http://www.brodietech.com/liontales/blog.htm but DO NOT read the
latest entry titled "Fall of the Roman Empire." Skip down and read the
next one entitled "Lucky Me."

For everyone who knows the initial details, you will probably be very
interested in Richard's last blog entry!!!!

Some additional notes about this story which Richard did not include in his
blog: When I heard that the several players (I know of 5 and maybe there
were more?) of this machine not only were 86'd but had their Reward Credit
balances wiped off their cards (including past RCs for past play), I had
wondered if there was any legal recourse for them. I had heard that
Harrahs considered them "comps," not CB, and therefore could be taken away
at
will. I'm not a lawyer but I figured that might be argued successfully in a
court of law, because of contract-type
language in their literature, such as "for every 10 dollars you put into a
machine you WILL get one RC."

One or more players did the logical next step and went to Nevada Gaming.
Even though this bureaucracy has been accused of being "in the pockets" of
casinos, they immediately intervened and all players had
their RCs restored.

Of course the casinos in NV can 86 anyone at any time, for any reason or for
no reason. That right is protected by state law, so there is no legal
recourse - unless the individual's civil rights are proven to be trampled on
because of undue force, discrimination because of age, race, etc. - and few
players have prevailed against the casinos in NV courts, which are viewed as
very casino-friendly.
