Update Miscellany

Returned from an all too brief visit to LV last night and thought I'd
mention a few things off the top of my head.

Caesars: It's a mystery. I earned comp dollars at a pathetic .13
rate playing a mix of STP JB, $JB and 3/5 play quarter JB. I played
3/5 play on wife's card and earned at a .8 rate. No definite
answers, but I can think of a few reasons why I have been flagged for
the lower comp rate. The already anemic CB rate and the sad comp
rate (for those earning it) make Caesars an NG play for vp playing
tourists unless marketing offers are fantastic.

Stardust: Could not find the 50 cent 8/5 progs listed in the
database.

GN: Can confirm the removal of the single line $ JB. I was there on
Saturday and could not find the old machines or any replacements for
them. This is a bummer for the midrolling tourist. On a positive
note their seems to be a surfeit of multi play nickel 10/7. I
knocked out my first and only sequential royal on one over the
weekend. Do I win a cookie?

I'm sure I'll think of more as I compose a TR.

Jean, Yes I am sure this is a fact as when they did the merge about a year ago Nationally is when we first noticed that our comps were so much less and that is what we were told also by the Director of their "Players Club" at the time.

I got the following information from a host at Caesars and I have no idea if
it is accurate. The hosts seem as confused as we are, when I question them
about comps!!! Anyway, this one host said: "If you come in with a free
room or RFB, your comp dollars will accumulate slower as you play than when
you just come in and play and aren't staying in the hotel. This is done to
recoup the comps you are already getting."

Now I know computers can be programmed to do a lot of things - but could
this actually be possible? Those of you who have tried to keep track of how
many comps you earn - have you noticed any difference between a person who
has a free room or RFB and another person who does not have any pre-comped
things?

I can't speak for Caesars, but they do reduce the comp accumulation rate at the Las Vegas Hilton if you are getting LRFB.
I just returned and my comps accumulated at a rate of %0.1 .
