upcoming odd Harrahs Vegas promotion

Harrahs is having a Macy card giveaway. I believe the dates are around Oct.
25-28 (sorry no info in front of me). You get a $50 Macy card and 3 night
stay...no play required. That's nice. But here is the odd part. If you put
15,000 points on your card you get another $25 Macy Card. The odd part is
that if this is 5000 base + 10,000 bonus points (the approximate usual amount)
-that would take $50,000 of coin in for VP.

For play like that at LV Hilton you'd be coming back for a $500-1000 Saks
card. Or at Ballys/Paris you might get a $500 Fashion Show mall gift card (upc
oming promotion), or a $500 Macy card from Stardust (upcoming promotion).

So Harrahs is going to give you an extra $25 card?

You bring up a couple of interesting points.
  a) Harrah's slot club leaves much to be desired.
     at 0.1% cash back and 0.1% comp credit that isnt competitive.

  b) the only harrahs I have experiance with is STL and I have only
rarely seen any 'Bonus' credits. Just the other day I played $12,000
in coin in and got my 1200 base credits, and a whopping 0 bonus
credits. I know slot players get them, but here it seems that VP gets
almost none. How about other properties ??? they do run quite a
few coupons (2-3 times/week) for 'Double Points' it is really just
double base reward credits towards comp, not double towards cash back.
