If you play a few million hands you will have some oddities like you reported. One that I had several years ago was a series of two consecutive hands where I got four Kings, followed by being dealt three kings on the third hand (at this point about five or six people decided to stand behind me to observe). I did not get the fourth king, but on the next hand, I was dealt two kings and got the other two kings on the draw. Then it was over and I never saw a king for many hands!
Last week, I played on a five play machine at Coushatta (8/5 Bonus) in Louisiana and on consecutive plays, got four threes, four fours, and four deuces (two hands out of five). Another time I got four Aces dealt to me on a five play machine TWICE in one session.
So, play enough and you will get some strange sequences of good (and bad) deals and draws.
