Unusual action performed at Bally's Cage

I’ve had requests for my ID (not my player’s card) for tickets at Silverton (about $1,300) and the old River Palms in Laughlin ($1000). Both times I told them to shove it with a threat to call Gaming and was paid.

Probably because the total was high enough that they want to keep track for government reporting if you had some more tickets later and went over the 10K threshold. I’ve had the same request from other casinos when trying to cash tickets that were over $1,200.

I had a rather nice night this morning (some of you know this makes sense) as I headed to the cage with 10 or so tickets totaling $5,500. The cashier asked for my Total Rewards number and wrote it down. Why would they do this?

“Shove it” seems a bit intemperate. Just sayin’
