Here the players were, huddling
around the table and crowding around him laying there, still playing the
game as
he possibly died. Unbelievable.

That happened at a bridge club I played at. Man was in 4 Spades, doubled.
His partner departed for the coffee bar, yelling insults over his shoulder.
The man made his contract and then dropped dead of a heart attack. Play
continued once the paramedics arrived and removed the dead player. Seen it happen at
a tournament too. Nothing stops play!!

Stop me if you've heard this one.......

The Wednesday night Poker club was in session. The youngest player,
Joe (age 70) lost a hand, after going all-in with $200.00. Joe
clutched his heart, and keeled over dead. John, his oldest friend
said, "Who's going to tell Joe's wife what happened?" Bill
said, "Don't worry, I'll handle it." Bill went to Joe's apartment
and knocked on the door. Joe's wife opened the door and
said, "Where's Joe"? Bill answered, "Joe just lost $200.00 playing
Poker, and was afraid to tell you!" His wife retorted, "Tell Joe
that I said he should DROP DEAD!" ( - :
