Since I live relatively close to the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt.
Pleasant Michigan, they have been running an unbelievable promo this
last month, which will continue until 11/30/08, (unless it gets canned
or changed again).
What started out as a "Match This" promo, which meant that they would
honor ANY coupon, "room, hotel, show ticket, free play", from any
other Michigan casino, (and Casino Windsor, in Canada). This version
of the promo lasted about a week and only brought in a few more
patrons. When I was there, and collected my $93 dollars that day, I
said jokingly, "If you ever change the promo to include ANY casino
including Vegas, I'll be rich & happy". Well, not really rich, but
happy, YES !!!
After a week, the promo changed again and they lifted the Michigan
only casino ban and included ANY casino, except on-line, no email
offers and nothing included from their satellite mini casino in
Standish Michigan.
Over the next 2 days, they were bombarded by people standing in-line,
with garbage bags, (not kidding here either) of offers.... I was told
by slot booth personnel that they were putting premium play on
people's cards at the rate of $3000-$6000 at a time !!!!
They had forget to set a limit in the promo ad, and also had no
expiration date listed for the coupons, which meant you could bring in
ANY coupons, even expired ones from 2007 even.
I had just thrown away all my September 2008 Vegas offers, (I
estimated this at over $3000). Grrrrrrrrrrrrr ! You want to see
someone go through trash, it works well when you wear gloves ! 
That promo went on for 2 days, and the rules changed again, the next 3
weeks they set a $500 daily limit and would only accept coupons
expired from 30 days ago. They still will take current offers and
even future offers, December and forward into 2009.
Well since I had my Vegas trip already planned, packed and ready to go
on 10/28 for 7 wonderful nights in Vegas, I almost canceled it because
this promo was like a dream come true. The first week I went every
day with my Vegas mailings and collected $500 in premium play, and ran
it one time through on 9/6 JOB, (quarter level) or 400 hands being
played. Most of the time my results were $20 either side of $500. I
then would simply hit cash out, collect and go home knowing that
tomorrow would be a repeat. The first week I netted over $3000 in
winnings, risking zero of my own money.
While I was in Vegas, (having fun), but still drooling over me having
to leave the good deal back home, my brother-inlaw, made 16 daily
trips in a row and made a nice $8000 profit.
When I returned home from my trip. The rules changed again, but not
effective until this last Saturday on 11/8, which now includes a $100
Max daily limit a day, & only 5 mailings max to use.
I went again on Thursday night, waited in like 1 hour got my $500 and
played my usually 9/6 JOB and got dealt 4 to the royal and got it,
walking away up $1365. After work, (I'm calling THAT my 2nd job now),
I returned for another $500 award, (their midnight is considered a new
day), and on 400 hands being played through that offer, I hit quads 4
times and a straight flush for 250 coins and walked out up $630.
Will someone please pinch, or kick me ??? Am I still dreaming all of
this . . . lol I'd really rather be pinched then kicked here !
Where else on earth, (or heaven even maybe), can you go and play with
no starting cash and be guaranteed a winner ? There are VP machines in
heaven now right ?
Rumor had it that they might extend this promo.... knowing this, I
signed up for every casino in Vegas while I was there. Now in the
morning, I'm running to great the mailman, someone who I never even
knew very well before also. Who would have thought that junk mail
could be gold mail ?
You know how the Elcortez sends out those little 1 x 1 inch tiny
coupons, Subway... 2 for 1 meals ? I jokingly showed one sheet to
someone at the slot booth and said, will you take these ? After
looking at it, she said, I think we might take the Subway offers and
the 2 for 1 meals, but that's a maybe.... Their satellite casino has a
subway inside of it, so she thought they would take it and asked me if
the Subway was inside the Elcortez..... lol
