über or lyft how work which best

We were in Vegas in December and used Uber/Lyft services for the first time. We used Lyft. They have more drivers in LV than Uber.

We were VERY happy with the service. Clean cars; friendly, articulate drivers. Take the most direct route (via Lyft GPS) and were there literally within minutes of our call. Cheaper than the cabs. Closer and quicker than taking a bus. Designated pickup/dropoff areas at each property. Recommended by the belldesk/doorman as the way to travel; and they make no tips from Uber/Lyft rides!

We could not have been happier. (We have had many bad experiences with cabs in LV.)

I have literally not been in a cab since Uber and Lyft returned to Las Vegas. I always put the destination in both apps, and compare wait times and prices. There is usually a slight difference in both. Then, I either pick the lower price or shorter wait time, depending on the situation. They are truly better than cabs in every way, with the possible exception of pickup/drop off location (many casinos have them pick up and drop off at a designated area, rather than the main entrance).

I have several bad cab stories over the years including countless long hauls, a driver who was almost certainly on meth and drove like a maniac, one who tried to push me to go to some sketchy off strip “massage parlor” and actually drove me there even though I told him no (I refused to get out, and he eventually took me to my destination), and one screamed at me at the main valet for only tipping $5 on a $20 ride (i was being dropped at Bellagio…I think he assumed I was rich, which I am not!).

I’m curious how you know Lyft has more drivers. That could be useful info in any city.

The bell captain at the Caesars VIP entrance told me when I was inquiring about Lyft/Uber and the other two valets standing there agreed. Our driver confirmed also.

Sorry there is no online resource.

We once had a LV cab driver drive off with our luggage after he got a call from Dispatch to return to the office. Luckily the bell desk was able to get it back.

I don’t know the numbers, but it doesn’t surprise me since Lyft started well before Uber in Las Vegas. Also, people should remember many/most drivers drive for BOTH Lyft and Uber.
