U.S. Casinos Who Send Snail Mail to Canadians

I'm replying in-line giving my experiences at each
location. Casinos you haven't mentioned are at the bottom.

B.

As long and as often as I have been going to Las Vegas, I
will never understand some of the Casino policies on
mailing offers out of the country.
I can understand if they don't want to waste postage on
people with minimal play, but I can't figure it out with
places where you give moderate or higher play.
Here is a rundown of all the places that I have given
moderate 5k/day or better play to and what I have
received in the past 2 years. Maybe we can end up with a
good depository
for canucks.

Downtown Casinos

Main Street Station - get poor offers very infrequently,
treated fairly well by hosts.

I've probably stayed there 10 nites, but not for the last 4
years. NEVER mailed me - but when I called, they'd usually
book a comped room for me.

Las Vegas Club - Used to get occasional offers under old
management nothing under new.
Plaza - Same as Las Vegas club.

I average 4-6 nites a year here. ALWAYS good for a free
3-day stay whenever I ask. Last fall they mailed me a
gratis invite to the "Ed McMahon Slot Tourney". I took them
up on it, and took a pal for a free weekend in early
December. I magically qualified for the final even though I
skipped 1 of the 3 slot sessions, and they invited me back
again for that(I passed on it).

Boulder Strip

Boulder Station - nothing

ZERO - even though I have stayed there and booked multiple
rooms. I don't really miss it, because I like my cashback -
as you know, Stations doesn't give any. Bounceback is
pretty much useless for tourists.

Sam's Town - Doesn't mail to Canada except by accident
sometimes. Hosts there seem to be improving.

In my experience, pretty much the same as MSS.

Arizona Charlie's - nothing

  Ditto

Henderson area

Fiesta Henderson - No mail, some good hosts .

  Likewise

Green valley ranch - nothing

   Also

Sunset station - nothing

  Never been there.

Off strip

Palms - nothing

  NEVER play there.

Las Vegas Hilton - many offers, usually free room and $50
- $75 or free slot tournaments.

One of my fave spots. Regular email and snail. They try
harder.

Palace station - used to get the odd post card, but I
haven't given them any solid play in a long time

Haven't played there since it was the Bingo Palace (another
Stations joint - unappealing for tourists).

Gold Coast - nothing

The occasional email, zero snail mail - even though I
stayed there less than 18 months ago.

On Strip

Westward Ho - Free room offers as regular as clockwork -
minimal play given

Interesting - I'll give them a little play next trip.

Stardust - regular offers for free room and cash 2- 3
days and $25 - $75 - higher offers came after upping play
to 6k and higher per day.

They're now sending me a monthly 2-4-1 room deal.
I'll play more than 3 hours next time.

Frontier - No mail but easy rooms after 1000 points by
calling number on slot card.

No experience there.

Circus Circus- Played twice stayed once on free room only
offer (this year), will see how regular they are .

The Aces & 8's progressive makes it a good play - hit a RF
at Slots-a-Fun in January. Have NEVER received mail from
them.

Stratosphere - used to get very regular mail, but has
dropped off as I no longer play there since their
inventory crapped out.

My sentiments and experience exactly.

Sahara - used to get occasional mail, but have stopped
going there per bad inventory.

Stayed there for 2 nights June/04 (cheap rates during a
convention I had to attend). Played a few hours of their
premium bonus poker (all quads pay 35). They treated me
well, send regular email. I think I might have thrown out a
piece or 2 of snail mail, but am unsure.

Barbary Coast - used to get fairly regular tournament
offers, stopped due to no longer playing because of bad
inventory.

No experience.

NYNY - Used to get fairly decent room plus cash offers,
stopped playing and stopped receiving due to bad
inventory.

Likewise

Belly's- Used to get poor offers on minimal play, now no
play due to bad inventory, and no more offers.

I detest Bally's. Haven't played in any of their casinos
for more than 3 years.

FOUR QUEENS
Never stayed there, but played a few hours of their DB
prog. on two occasions a year apart. Surprisingly, they had
mail out to me within a few weeks (free drawing tickets if
I booked for a slot event at reduced rates, etc). It
appears they will mail to us based on play in their most
recent quarter.

TROPICANA
Lotsa emails, occasional snail, even though I haven't
played there for 2-3 years. Used to give me free rooms on
request for a trifling 2-3K daily action.

CANNERY - joined last winter, played 2 days (6 hours
total).
Nothing from them.

ORLEANS - played and stayed before they gutted their VP.
Used to snail me, but it's stopped.

SUNCOAST - same as Orleans.

RAILROAD PASS - stayed as recently as 3 months ago. Nada.

Boulder City - HACIENDA
Have given them quite a bit of play (JW 100.7%). Zilch.

Laughlin - PIONEER
Lots - regular monthly newsletter - BUT - I had to hound
them - I typically receive the current newsletter 1 or 2
weeks into the month - obviously too late to arrage a trip.
The good news is they seemed to listen, and have made
efforts to expedite their mailouts.

Laughlin - RIVER PALMS
Surprisingly regular mailings for relatively little play.

Laughlin - RAMADA EXPRESS - I've probably spent almost a
month there in total - Zero snails, but copious emails.

Laughlin - GOLDEN NUGGET, EDGEWATER, COLORADO BELLE,
FLAMINGO - zero.

Their attitude seems to be "Locals only, please".

Mesquite - CASA BLANCA - used to get regular mailings, but
quit taking the golfers there 4-5 years ago (too cold in
Feb). Mailings have stopped.

RENO

These guys court Canadians. I think the reason is that many
Western Canadians (BC, AB) can zip down there quickly. I
know quite a few Calgarians and Vancouverites who actually
drive to Reno.

I've been to Reno 3 times (1996, 1998, 2001). I STILL get
mail from The Atlantis and the Cal Neva.
