Started my VP day in Dubuque, Ia playing DDB progressive. Bad (8/5)
but progressives were up & I had some Free play. Lost a hun. Went
to second Dbq casino w/ a little freeplay & played some more bad odd-
VP(Yea, I know I'm stupid, particularly when I cudda played FP P'em)
Lost a coupla more Hamilton's...time to go home to the good ole Quad
Cities & my home casino w/ its progressive DDB. Son-of-a-
gun...progressives are up, royals at about $1700+. Played a couple
of hundred//lost & approaching broke status...I even dipped into a
little of my "non-gambling" $$$ as I wud reimburse my wallet when I
got home. Played off $50 of free play, lost that. Hmmmm, not my
day. Went to the booth to get my $10 freeplay put on my account
cause I easily had my 30 points that are required, then planned to
leave. Nope, mite as well stick another $5 ijn machine & play that
plus the $10 freeplay.
Caught an early 4ok, so got a little playing money. Shortly got
another. I'm sitting around $125 or so, but royals looking at me at
$1800+. Well, gonna run it up to $200 or bust. I'm at about $70 &
guy a few machines away..."got it", I happen to be sitting next to
his wife. Well now may as well take it at $100 or zero and go back
to normal hold strategy. Within about 1 minute, hold 2 to
Royal...yippee, here comes the rest. I look across at Mr Smily-face,
call him an A-hole and we both get paid, him w/ a W2 & $1870, me a
grand that at least gives me a few hundred profit for the day.
