I was in Las Vegas for the week following the Super bowl, I have just
now completed reading through all of the digests of VPFree and VP-
Mail messages. I don't want to think about how many hours I spent.
There were a few kernals of interesting information and a few smiles
derived while filtering through the clutter.
Here is what I learned in a nutshell:
The Suncoast downgrade of their FPDW is either an experiment to see
if advantage VP players have legs or it is a sign that the end of the
world is near. (I think it is neither)
Skip Hughes is either a dictatorial closed minded egomaniac, one of
the main influences on the VP inventory of every casino in Las Vegas
or a nice guy that runs a great service for VP players. (I think it's
the third choice)
Advantage play of VP machines for a profit is either an impossibility
for mortals because they don't live long enough or is causing most of
the casinos to lose money on many of their full pay VP machines. (I
don't care which is true since I'm still ahead)
I won't make any wisecracks about the Native American casino issue.
But I will ask one question of the people who suspect machine
gaffing, if you operated a casino in a near monopoly location would
you gaff machines or lower the paytables knowing that your machines
would be played several hours per day either way?
As long as this site is still about sharing VP information I'll add
that I found a bank of .25 9/6 JB at Paris LV while on my trip to LV.
